About Us

Having worked with over one hundred dental practices and performed assessments on hundreds more since 2009 we have developed a detailed understanding of the fundamentals behind strong and healthy dental practices. Importantly, we also have clear insight into much of the malign intent or voodoo misrepresented as assistance that causes most problems. This website is designed to offer strong practical advice developed over years of trial and error, and help you see and avoid the BS.  

We hold integrity and honesty in high regard. In business, these are sometimes regarded as appealing but expensive ideals. In good businesses, they underpin all that you. We are fortunate to be involved in dentistry. There are not many professions that can have such a direct, immediate and positive effect on society. If we take great care of our patients, we’ll have a great business. We live in a world where billions of dollars are invested annually with the goal of corrupting our sensibilities. If McDonald’s and Coke are the face of the Olympics why isn’t the featured race a 100 yard waddle? It’s not wrong to advocate strongly for a patient’s needs. We must always respect the patient’s right to decide, but we must ensure they understand the difference between need and nice to.  

Our goal is to provide a resource that makes dentistry better for dentists and their teams. Sorry it’s not a very sexy goal… It could be great to do a Mr Google and have a business with revenues of $89.5 billion (eighty nine thousand and five hundred millions) while not actually doing that much for it. A fancy algorithm here or there sounds pretty exotic, but it could be we are overly enthralled. Maybe, we could be like the NFL with their paltry $12.27 billion and pretend that we are all about committed sportsmen engaged in superhuman endeavor, while in reality we are simply helping sell you a positive perspective of stuff made in sweatshops around the world.
